Like all stories, it started with an idea

Øistein Sørensen, a successful software developer made a radical life choice - he moved out of Oslo to become the owner of 12 Alaskan huskies.

Interested in the sport of dog mushing and sled dogs specifically, he realized there wasn’t any way to track his dog team training or vet visits.

He couldn’t find any app that could give him an overview of the entire pack of dogs and at the same time track his training with the dogs. So, in 2020, he built an app from scratch, tailor-made to his greatest passion, dog sledding. He called it The Musher.

Later on, this became what we now know as the QPAWS - The Dog Activity App!

And so the QPAWS story began!

QPAWS - The world's best App for active dog owners

The goal is to create one of the world's best tools for active dog owners. We want to make it easier for dog owners to track and even improve their dogs’ health.

Even though it started as a mushing-tracking app, it can now be used by all types of dog owners. So, whether you have a dog with a moderate level of activity, or an entire kennel, running dog sports at a professional level, you can use QPAWS.

Providing a unique combination of overview and utility, QPAWS App aims to become the favorite app of all dog owners.

Follow global dog competitions

Among other amazing features, the app also gives you the opportunity to follow global dog competitions via a live function.

During winter, for example, users can follow some of the world's toughest dog sled races, including the Femund race (that takes place in Norway, in February) and the legendary Iditarod in Alaska, in March.

What’s next

The app will be further updated in the coming months with new and improved features tailored for different types of dog owners and their activities (such as hunting dogs, agility training, service dogs and more).

QPaws - The Dog Activity App is free and available to download from the Apple AppStore and Google Play.
