With an outstanding performance in the 2018 Iditarod, Russeren earned the most prestigious and coveted sled dog award in the sport with the 2018 Iditarod Golden Harness Award—along with being adorned the Yellow Roses as he took his team and Joar Leifseth Ulsom to victory of the 2018 Iditarod. Coming in at +75 lbs and standing some 170 cm / 69 inches tall on his hind legs, Russeren is a very large and insane powerhouse—the hardest driver Ulsom says to have ever worked with. “This dog pulls like a freight train, in lead or anywhere in the team.” He is nicknamed “The Russian Express.”  His name “Russeren” means ‘the Russian’ in Norwegian. A sweet, affectionate and responsive dog, Russeren is very sensitive, wants to please and loves cuddling. He is part Alaskan Husky, part Chukchi dog from Chukotka, Russia.
